Considered one of the greatest players in the history of the sport, Nuveman has dominated the game both behind the plate and at bat. From her humble beginnings as an 18-and-under National Champion, Nuveman continued on to collegiate greatness and, to Olympic Gold. While she and her UCLA teammates earned an NCAA Division I National Championship in 1999, individually, Nuveman was named first team NCAA All-American four times, Pac-10 Player of the Year three times, and was a finalist for the Honda Award as the most outstanding collegiate softball player in the country on three separate occasions. She continues to hold the NCAA record for most career home runs at 90. Nuveman has played for the USA National Team since 1999 and represented the United States in 2000 and 2004, bringing home two Olympic Gold Medals.

Member of USA Gold team that won the 1999 Canada Cup. Hit .385 with a 1.154 slugging percentage, three HRs, a double, eight RBI and five runs scored in the tournament.
